Went for usual guitar lesson yesterday, noticed they had some new cheap acoustic guitars in. To cut a long story short my HB120CE is a bit of a struggle to play in a seated position, I'm over 6' and have a long reach. So after my lesson had a play and GAS got better of me! For the princely sum of £85 I bought a Tiger can't find a model number or name.
I tuned it last night played for about an hour. Today I haven't been able to put it down I've made my fingers sore playing shuffles and blues licks.
Now the Mrs wasn't too pleased went I got home with one more guitar than I went out with!
Quick review of the guitar:
Spruce/natural top, binding front and back, 640mm scale,20 frets, steel strings. I was told it is folk size? Its same length as HB120 but 25mm thinner in depth and 25mm narrower. The finnish is very good, tuners appear ok action is good, intonation spot on, it sounds good, no sharp fret ends, frets level. I really can't fault it.
And it's the first non black guitar I own! I find it so much easier to play seated I know its not massively smaller than the HB120 but I feel like I'm on top of it nit trying to climb it (like the 120) if that makes sense?
I've not heard of Tiger before? probably mass produced in the far east? But for £85 a bargain 😁
