Hmm, which Line 6 product is it that you have? I have the spider v classic, its a good piece of kit. I also have a behringer modelling amp which is good. I just seem to prefer a clean channel with a small amount of effect.

One that is supposed to be really good is the Joyo Blue Rain which is a marshall bluesbreaker clone. It pricier than the usual Joyo ones but Im keeping an eye out for a cheap one. Aliexpress Blue Rain? That's the one but €50+ is too much for a mini Joyo pedal (or indeed any OD/Distortion pedal if you ask me..being the cheapskate that I am ).

Is it €50+? My conversion brain ain't so good. I was looking at just over £40 and thinking that wasn't BAD. But I do agree that there are so many cheap OD's that it would have to be something special to justify it. Some real dynamic response to feel valvey break up-ish.

€53.63 earlier but I now see they have slapped a 15% discount (expiring after 11 hours) on it so it's now €45.59.
Still a bit too much. For that money I'd prefer to build my own. Under €30 and my interest would get piqued. Under €20 and I would press the button.

My standard tone is a slight amount of OD from my TC electronics Cinders.

Im staying away from moddelers when playing into my tube amp but love using them for direct recording! So much easier to set up a usable tone rather then hustling with the amp's noise and miking!

The M5 has versions of all the usual suspects and some really interesting oddball FX.

The M5 has the particle verb and the tube delay effects if I'm not mistaken....both very fun effects.
