Bought this from ebay for £18, basically to use on the clean channel as a softer OD than the OD on my joyo bantamp meteor.
Gain, tone and level controls. True bypass. Tube distortion simulation. High gain. Ultra low noise operation. 9v DC or AC adaptor.
Tried between guitar and amp (not tried it on FX loop yet). When switched off no noise of any sort. I was pleasantly surprised at the variation of tone achieved. Controls feel nice and solid to adjust on off switch very good as well. Blue metallic sort of finish, appears very well built. Only gripe I could have is I can't suss how to get battery compartment cover open, but I will be using with AC adaptor so not a problem.
To be honest I've got lucky as I can get the dirty blues tone I wanted. You cant set it up to give a crunch sound nearly the same as the joyo meteor OD but not as powerful. It has quite a range of tone I can't believe how good it is especially for £18 delivered.
All in all if you want bluesy sound this is very good, it's not harsh enough for metal/thrash. As I said I'm lucky it's capable of the tones/sounds I wanted (john lee hooker, maddy waters) and definitely better than I was expecting. Glad I took the Chinese gamble, I think it was salteedog who said don't be afraid to get the Chinese stuff.

Is it a Boss Blues driver clone? That was probably my favourite OD on the ME-70 I had.

I dont trust products if they aren't Made in US ! Congrats! Glad you got the tones you are after! Thats the most important aspect and the "made in ... " is irrelevant in this case!

If it looks similar to Mooer Blues Mood than it sure is based on the Blues Driver, ... well, ... in truth First there was a Boss Blues Driver, then Keeley modded that one and made it less noisy so folks desired that modded one more, hence Mooer cloning that Keeley's Blues Mood (Mod, get it)... and now Tom'sLine and several other china pedals cloned the Mooer Blues Mood ... I think I feel dizzy now ...

One that is supposed to be really good is the Joyo Blue Rain which is a marshall bluesbreaker clone. It pricier than the usual Joyo ones but Im keeping an eye out for a cheap one.

I looked at the joyo blue rain but £50 was a bit more than I wanted to gamble. It's ok watching videos but unless you can try it out on your own set up its a gamble. I struck lucky this time, next I may not be so lucky.

I remember you saying you were a Londoner, there’s a shop in Clapham that sells Joyo pedals. www.reddogmusic.co.uk/catalog/guitar-effects/modulation-and-pitch?brand=joyoI suppose with a bit of enquiry they could possibly get a selection to try, or you could have a pop at a used multi FX off EBay or Reverb.

Londoner!!! I'm from the Thames delta lol about 18 miles south east of london 😁 I've ordered a looper and a clean boost pedal but don't plan on getting many more. Possibly a reverb and maybe a wha wha pedal. I found with my line 6 too much to choose from and never being able to get it exactly the same twice lol

It's all London to me I'm afraid Although I suppose being the opposite side near enough is a bit too much of a hassle for some cheap pedals. I go through phases of wanting to ditch my Line 6 M5 and going back to thinking I might as well just keep it.

I find my line 6 is fine for rock or metal but it does not sound good clean to my ears. May just be me but it's a jack of all trades vs a tradesman type thing. Don't get me wrong it can be great fun some of the sounds you can get from it.

I realise I haven't gone OD for ages. I was just twiddling about today on my tele through my clean Fender Champ and A/B-ing it with my Boss Katana (it still doesn't get close dammit). A little - or a lot - of reverb and I began thinking, 'when things sound as nice as this why would I ever use OD?'! I'll get over it one day but at the moment I love how the Champ sounds clean.
I have a Mosky Obsessive Overdrive (OCD clone) that arrived from China and which sits on my lounge table waiting for my about face. All my other pedals sit in a drawer hoping for a similar mood swing.
