I'm not sure that a brush script is meant to look youthful, LeoThunder . It often tends to be used as a sign of authenticity and quality. Like it has passed under the eyes at least to 'the big man' and he's signed it off. Think 'Disney', 'Harrods', 'Kellog's' and yes 'Fender'. At least we can be thankful that they didn't go for 'Jack and Danny Brothers'. I meant the new logo looks youthful, not the old one. The new logo comes together with the emergence of more modern looking models, even though these are mostly copies too. Ah, I exposed my total ignorance of typeface names with this one. I thought 'brush script' meant any informal, handwritten font. I didn't know it was the actual name of a specific font. What is that called then, nicholaspaul; any casual brushy looking font? What I was trying to point out was that a casual font is often used to suggest a signature of authority to impart that an item has been signed off as genuine quality. The new logo seems to be doing that as much as the older one rather than appearing youthful. Then again, now I come to think of it, I can't think what kind of font could look youthful but not infantile. Again nicholaspaul, perhaps you can teach us something here?

Has anyone heard plans of rolling it out on all models? I heard nothing but I wonder why they shouldn't. They'll just have to sell the old stock first.

oh it's all good. A brushy or handwritten font might be described as 'Script' or Calligraphic. Youthful but not infantile, hey? Hmm. Having to put my work hat on on a Sunday...! This font seems quite playful, which is how I'd think of youthful - www.myfonts.com/fonts/laura-worthington/alisha/ I'll have more of a think after a beer and a laydown...

Sorry to load you with jobs on a Sunday nicholaspaul ! That Alisha script reminds me of something that might have appeared on a sixties US sitcom. Like Bewitched or I Dream of Jeannie. Funny the links our brain instantly makes.

I emailed Thomann about the availability of new logos. I only asked about a couple of models because I didn't want to push (and the chap didn't really answer all my questions... ) but apparently the SC450 P90GT and the SC550 (tobacco only ) are available with the new logo, regardless of the ones shown on the website. This makes me think it's going to be a bit random which ones roll out with which logos, for a little while anyway.

Thanks for the head's up about the XTreem font. I used it to make an avatar with my initials. I'll also use some waterslide paper to make my own headstock decals. I'm pretty pleased with the way it looks!
