Jonny Buckland called... He's breathing heavily, I think he needs an ambulance

Because it has been banned by the Committee of Ugly Guitars.
Jokes aside, I don't think there's big enough market for them. I don't think lack of hardware is an issue for them, since they would put regular single coils either way.
And I can ensure you, no troubles with playing CST while sitting in either position.

Because it has been banned by the Committee of Ugly Guitars. I suppose this committee never had a say on soviet guitars…

Due to musical differences I've decided I can't work with myself any more.

They’re very “Jetson’s” 60s futuristic.

They’re very “Jetson’s” 60s futuristic. Yes...quite cool actually. Not unlike your Annie Clark model.

The 60s were rich in "funny" guitars. Japan produced some of the most baroque models. I quite like the Sunburst Jazzmaster. It's the Mustang I can't stand.

When I was 19 I saw this video for the first time. The song blew me away (and continues to); at the time it sounded like nothing else.
And after this the Jaguar became for me the coolest guitar model in existence.

First time I see this. I must say I never paid attention to the guitars people played. I recognised the shapes of Strats and Les Pauls for seeing them often. I knew Blackmore, Gallagher and Hendrix played a Strat', I knew Jimmy Page played a Les Paul or some double monstrosity, but that was about it and it was mostly from seeing them on LP covers. I knew the guy from ZZ Top had played a les Paul too before the beard covered it. I wasn't sure what Keith Richards played. It was transparent Oh yes, I knew John Lennon had played some black and white thing that looked like a hungry pacman. And Elvis had played that big, mean looking bluesy, rocky Gibson. That looked good: I never cared much for the look of guitars even when I got mine. I was happy it looked good and different from what everyone else had. I liked the shape of the Strat', though. There was something perfectly balanced about it, not round nor square. Rectangular in outline but softly rounded and only so slightly asymmetrical. It's still the one that catches my eye today. That's why I wanted one.

As for the JMs, I haven't tried them but usually I stay away from P90s on cheap guitars as they tend to be noisy, and I primarily use my guitars for recording. Maybe you have some insight on the Squier JM? I have the Squier JM Deluxe in CAR which is basically the J Mascis JM just in red. The build quality is very good and the pickups look like real JM pups but sound single coily with P90s mixed in. I think they are very nice. I upgraded the guitar with a Schaller roller bridge and roller string tree. I think it is an improvement for intonation. The tremolo is quite good because even with the TOM bridge my guitar didn‘t go out of tune after using it. So I think you would be hard pressed to find a better deal on a JM than the Squier ones. Yes, I had the silverburst american JM with ebony fretboard in my hands - much better build quality, much better pickups, better hardware. For 4x the price which wasn‘t worth it for me - YMMV.

HB could certainly sell lots of Jags thanks to Johnny Marr fans!
