I bought this because.. well its literally everything i wanted in a guitar other than setneck.. and it's my favorite guitar by FAR. I have some amazing guitars but this is the "one" and ill be selling the rest.
It has two (maybe 3) downsides. One .. the pickups.. theyre not good.. not HORRIBLE..but i have Nice guitars.. im not used to meh . So i need to replace them and thats going to require disassembling whatever i buy and recreating it on the hb bases. Id love suggestions.. i love clean.. wide .. and i love hard rock. occasionally hm
And i think i might have it refretted for higher fret. The necks fantastic, the frets are level, smooth, perfect. But i like bigger frets
But the most important part and the part id like help on is the nut. It's plastic.. and thus awful. Id love to get a tusq or bone nut.. heck even brass. And ive replaced nuts. But not on a ff and not on a 7. any tips ? vendors? should i just buy a long bone nut and file it to shape (that seems like a pain)
To any of you interested in a: fanned frets b: 7's. This is a dream guitar. I normally dont like basswood but its perfect for this guitar. Its LIGHT.. Stunningly light. makes my schecter feel like a boat anchor. It's beautifull... the pictures dont do it anything like justice. And its neck compares to an ibanez wizard. The neck is just stunning. if youre thinking about it buy it NOW. $300 for a ff 7 lefty is nuts i expected to pay 1500 to have This guitar made. Buy it now...
