Photos don’t always tell the truth. Im looking for an LP copy with a Peter Greene/Gary Moore finish. Is the SC450plus Lemon Drop close? I’ve looked at a lot of pictures and some seem quite Orange on the edge, almost Daglo. I’m looking for something more subtle. Anyone got some real world pics of the LD?

There is a good YouTube unboxing/review by China guitar sceptic. I know its video but the colour does not look Day-Glo around the edge. Hope this is of use.

YouTube Very helpful, thanks. It’s not day-glo and it’s not the same as the photo on the Thomann site either!

Thanks again Martin. I just had to grab the correct url from the bbcode link. So yea, that’s the colour of the lemon drop in a video. Looks good to me! Can anyone else confirm that is what it looks like in real life?

I have a honey burst version to, and it looks quite orange around the edges. Note that in real it doesn't look like it looks on thomann site. It is far from PG/GM guitar also. You can see mine on some of my posts. The real Peter Green/Gary Moore guitar was originally a cherry burst, and has been fading for 60 years to look like what we call a lemon drop finish. Vintage guitars have a Peter Green tribute guitar (V100PGGM), that looks the closest to the original finish IMHO.

It looks like it's ripened at last. I wonder how it will be in a month… I have always been puzzled and annoyed by the inaccurate colours on the Thomann site, relying on videos to find out about the real thing. Then they do this and fix their product to make it look right. This one looks brilliant but maybe not as expected as a result.
I wish they did that to the new Fusion, by the way. They are all pale in comparison to the more vivid pictures.
To me is it a reason to buy guitars used on ebay in addition to the price advantage. I see the object I get and even if the pictures are sometimes a little off, they are usually closer to the thing.
