It arrived! Gorgeous guitar this is, too nice looking for my taste! Its also built very well and I can't find many faults (minor stuff on the binding). Fretboard and fretwork is solid great! Nut is well cut! The action is 2mm out of the box. Was in tune! Intonation spot on. The nut could be filed a bit more as it goes a bit out oftune when using the trem which works as should, the trem is 1mm above the body and set up properly! Everything seems top notch! post picturesIt sounds good unplugged but when I plugged it in I was disenchanted! The pups sounded thin, harsh and lacked soul! W t F ! I took the neck pup out and found out these are ceramic pups (big no no in my book)! They placed the trem block too close to the body which means you cant go sharp only flat! This is perfect for me as I only go flat with the trem. The soldering was done by a toddler as per usual! The neck is similar to the SC-550 which is a bit too thin for me. Also the guitar looks too good for my taste (such guitar inspires shredding stuff which Im not). The pups sound too thin I cant justify paying more on top of 222 Euro! I will send this one back but if you are into these kind of guitars go for it and get some better pups and electronics!

Ahh, that’s a shame Che but if it doesn’t float your boat it has to go.

Oh well. Better luck next time. Do you need to stand on your desk to hang the guitars on the wall?

Do you need to stand on your desk to hang the guitars on the wall? Nope but if I was an inch shorter I wouldn't be able to get the CST-24 down from the floor Our house is a very old country side Dansih house. They are not that tall.

It might be the same with a 22 fretter too. Anyway. This looks fun. And a short drive from Denmark.
Not sure on the return policy though.

Just received the return label. Its packed and ready to go back. One thing is for sure; I AM NEVER EVER AGAIN TO BUY A GUITAR THAT HAS A SET NECK OR HAS ANY RESEMBLANCE TO GIBSON OR PRS OR ANY SUCH DESIGNS! Im certainly a "Fender" player! Give me a bolt-on neck and a Strat or Tele shape. Thats it! Me sorted! Thank you very much!

If the playability doesn't fit to your taste, it is obviously a good reason to return it.
But well, I do not really agree with you. I have got and tried several HB and never played one of wich I would have keep the pups ( and clearly ceramic P90 are an heresy ). A good guitar for 222€ + a pups and electronic upgrade is still a good bargain. This is what I did on my CST24-HB, and it holds its place in my gear, whereas since then, I ended selling much more expensive guitars with no regrets
For information : CST24-HB neck give a "thin" feeling too, though it is not really. Maybe this comes from the D shape with a flat. But well I can't say if it can be an issue or not, as I am not very "neck shape sensitive". I pay much more attention to the width first, then the thickness/width ratio, and then overall set up including the ease for the left hand to slide along the neck ... and I must say that the CST24-HB is comfortable

Wonder how this would be with a maple fingerboard: We should start a neck swap group. Not that I need this guitar; I have this: Me lovely Richwood Thinline. Nah, not the semi-hollow without a way to get to the electronics but the f-hole !!! I might either get the TE-52NA or the TE-30 and rout the neck position for a P90 (I dont think Ironstone makes such, should ask Tony to start making them) and get some interesting fat sounding bridge T-pickup. But in all fairness I have more than enough guitars for the tone Im after; my beloved TE-70BP and ST-62MN Black What I need is a few more pedals (Sub'n'Up, Hotone Harmonizer, Wah -Wah) to complete my pedal board. Would be nice to get the Jet-City JCA20 with EL84's as my Bugera comes with 6L6's.

Shame about trem routing. It turns otherwise a nice guitar into deco.
The plain black CST-24 has thicker neck than trem models and is cheaper. You could get a set of humbucker sized P90s and still fit under the €222 budget.

DefJef my Tele has the neck and bridge in series that sounds like a Humbucker but more dynamics in it. So, better than a Humbucker , or an upgraded version of an otherwise dull Humbucker. I'm so good with what I have in my 5 way Tele and 7 way Strat trust me
