A friend of mine has dropped his pacifica round for me to set up and do a couple of little mods. There is no model number or serial number visible anywhere? That I can find I've had a little look on the internet and I've read the model number is on the back of the scratch plate? Would anyone know where the serial number is?

My Pacifica 112v didn´t have any serial. Also no model number - you need to know the specs to identify them.

Mine has a model number on a little clear sticky label on the back of the headstock but it's peelable. No other markings though that I've seen. Then again, I wasn't looking. I bought it new in around 2015 and it has a 'new' 'Pacifica' logo in Formula 1 font rather than the more familiar script style. It's a 112 VMX. I love it. It gives off an air of being a music making tool rather than an instrument. Lovely and basic looking. The only electric guitar I ever bought at full RRP and excellent value for sound and playability. One of my two favourite 'go-to's. You might find these two links useful: Pacifica serial numbersNice clear description of model numbersUsing that second link I can tell my 112VMX guitar is a 100 series with 1 humbucker, 2 single coils, a vibrato, with a maple fretboard. The X just means limited edition.

Cheers chap's, I think it's either a 012 or a 112 has has the old logo. When the parts are delivered I'll take the pickguards off and see if there is anything in side. It's a nice guitar in a lovely metallic red.

Also body of 012 will likely be Agathis/Nato. 112 probably Alder.

Where did you buy the notched straight edge blindwilly3fingers? I'm looking to buy one and I'm cautious about getting one from China (Aliexpress). I've been burnt before on the precision of some of the tools from there. But not all Ailexpress shops are equal so....

I got the straight edge from amazon uk, it was about £15. Its exactly the same as one my mate bought off ebay for under a tenner. I have checked both against milled level surface and both are spot on. I presume they are all China made. I put labels on either side of mine for fender or gibson just to make it easier/quicker to use.

I was sceptical and went for the one on amazon, I wish I had gone for ebay one and saved myself £6-7.
