blindwilly3fingers it's an Eastwood reproduction of the 1960s Italian made Wandre. I'm not so keen on it nowadays thankfully but I still hold a candle for the Burns Marquee now and again. I like that it's even got my number on it 😁. I love the colour, it's that little bit different and no whammy thingy. That is a nice guitar.

They are trying to produce collectibles. This is a gamble for the buyers, easy money for the makers.

OK, so many of you have probably already seen this. Fender has released something that is actually new, and not a pure scrap-bin assembly. The Meteora Fender MeteoraFender Meteora YouTube LinkIt's kind of a Tele, Strat, Jazzy, Trippin thing. To me, way better than the Jag-0-caster, which just looked like bad Photoshop Frankenstein. Yuck This is a bit different, while I may not like everything, I like it a lot more than the Jag-o-caster. I know I won't be buying one, as they price at $1,999, but if I were to buy one or the other, it would be this one.
It's not going to be a couch guitar, but that's OK. This is a smokey bar guitar.... or _________________ (fill in the blank)
Ok, i'm going back to my whiskey sour now.

In this format it just seems as superfluous as the Jag-o-caster. It doesn't offer anything different really just the same tele parts on a new shaped plank. Maybe it's a shade more comfortable around the ribs and the forearm. Maybe the offset body balances nicely. Mostly it looks like a 70s Japanese copy though.

@defjef, I agree to a point, it is as unnecessary as the Jag-o-caster, but I also think it the better option of the two. Possibly the one that should have been chosen, rather than Fender making both. When I look at this, I feel there was some though put into it, I don't get that feeling from the jag-o-caster.
It does have a 70s copy vibe. So, it should sell for $399. LOL
I also flipped this up-side-down, and saw a heavily rounded-off explorer.

This guitar is only bought by people who want what no one else wants. Gibson was bold, then… They wouldn't do that any more.
