Anyone tried the NUX Timeforce? Had it , sold it not bad but the Reverse is rubbish! Is it not true that reverse delay is rubbish by default anyway? It always seemed gimmicky to me. I would be very interested to hear if anyone has made good use out of this effect.

So do you you use reverse delay for chord playing or solos etc? I suppose there exists recorded work where reverse delay has been used well. Maybe there are some examples that I have heard but did not take notice or did not recognise the effect.

You need to cut the highs to make it musical. DefJef and I made a song called Cat is on the Roof where I used it for the intro/outro!

BTW, master of reverse delay is Bill Frisel, check him out, he also uses the EHX Freeze a lot! I think for the Reverse he uses Line 6 Delay , the big green one!

I play with an invisible pick too martin . Always wonder if I may eventually wear through my fingernail! Still it's nice to have the fingers free for arpeggios too rather than having a plectrum cupped in your hand. My finger nail is almost like a hoof after all these years of thumb playing

I managed to mitigate the hiss from my Mooer Twin Reecho Pro by turning the amp's Clean Volume knob down and cranking up the Master Volume instead! The hiss gets worse when I crank the Clean Volume! I will have a rehearsal with my band this Monday and will play in a new room with 2x Roland Cube 80 amps. Will see if same happens there or if this has something to do with my amp's Clean Volume instead.

I have heard reviewers mention this hiss @chedapapa but in a mix it may be irrelevant. Indeed there is a guy on YouTube demoing this issue with Mooer Twin Reecho. Same stuff. But as I mention above I did make it less by adjusting the Clean and Master Volumes. Something to do with Treble frequencies. I tried to lower the Treble on amp and the hiss was much less. It will be fine in a live band situation but less so for recording. To be honest I would rather spend money on a new HB guitar with another pickup configuration than get another Delay pedal.

It is not an effect that I would normally try to make use of but I have a modelling amp with reverse delays in there so I will think to play around with one. I normally play clean with maybe a little reverb but sometimes I enjoy to mess around with atmospheric kind of things using delays and caverns of reverb etc, you know, with everything maxed out! Listening to Bill Frisel on youtube now. Sounds nice

Sounds like it's the gain of the preamp that raises your hiss rather than the power amp which is your master volume. Weirdly I watched a video that recommended turning my master volume up full and using my other volume as a loudness control on the Katana (solid state so different internal gubbins). Can't say I cared for it much that way round though. What about you salteedog? Is that the way you use the controls? Clean or in the crunch zone? I've tried both and my preference is for high master volume and lower volume. I also prefer running it at 25w and not .5w. But like everything else, opinions differ.

I have read an article on the net about hiss from digital pedals and its advice is Boost Guitars Signal so to lower the amps Gain/Volume. I did just that with my CKK Gears Compressor and thanks to that I can now play much louder and still have the Clean Volume on just about 2 and Master Volume can now go all from 5 to 10 without much annoying hiss.
Will do another TEST! I will plug this Mooer direct into my Audio Interface and play it into Reaper DAW to see if the pedal it self is giving out hiss or if all this hissing is something to do with my amps pre-amp tubes! ... ... ... update follows ...

BIG A R S UPDATE I did the test with plugging the Mooer delay direct into the audio interface and there was no hiss what so ever! So I assumed one of the pre-amp tubes is gone bad! Once I knew its not the delay pedal I kept on troubleshooting next item before going all tube change; THE CABLE! Indeed IT WAS the cable! My old 'Cordial' 6 meter cable was causing this amplified hiss! How? I don't know and don't care but it did amplify the pedal's very weak hiss. It also caused the sound to be slightly muddy. I have bought 2 x Fun Generation cables 5 meters each last time I shopped at Thomann, so I used those two and the horrid hiss is now gone. The pedal still has a very quiet hiss when engaged but nothing scary! I can only recommend the affordable Fun generation cables! Fantastic quality and the price is just right!
