Well sod it. No point waiting to sell off stuff. I just placed an order on Thomann. This is as close to a unicorn guitar as it gets for me. And €399 is a great price for a Classic Vibe - assuming it is built to CV standards. I cannot imagine that price coming down anytime soon given the price of the other guitars in the CV lineup.
Technically it's a pre-order, no stated delivery date yet. I don't mind waiting. I just wanted to get my order in in case they are all snapped up quickly and Fender decide it's a limited edition (Fender have a record of being fickly re. Lefties - they went years without having any lefthanded offset at all in their portfolio.)

I make you right salteedog if it's the ONE you got to go for it. Have you gone for the white & black?

I went to the store initially to try the jag as I've been gassing for one but the the low E kept popping off the fretboard and I wasnt't digging the bridge pup even though I like the online sound samples. The deluxe Jazzmaster had a fuller sound and played great but I think that model has p90s and not the Jazz pups. Either way I'll bid my time and try out a few more offsets before pulling the trigger. I waited and waited was originally gonna go for JA 60 OW, then gave in and got the sunburst. I didn't originally want the extra tone circuit, but must admit I'm envious now. I'm happy with my JA60 though it's a good guitar. 😊

I prefer the scale length and size of the bigger instrument, the bridges are equal I think. And I prefer the Jazzmaster pups to the Jaguar ones. I like the look of the power caster, 24.75 scale length P90 neck and humbucker bridge. Is that because they are more P90 like or should I say higher output? I believe it's because of the flatter bobbin and wider coil. www2.ece.rochester.edu/courses/ECE140/resources/Guitar-Project/Pickups_2.pdfFender pups are on page 5.

I make you right salteedog if it's the ONE you got to go for it. Have you gone for the white & black? In the Lefty world one often makes do - usually the choice is between black or black. This time it's between white(with tort pickguard) and white (with tort pickguard) i.e. there is only the one model
Luckily it's a colour I like.

That's the same stuff I've read before. I meant if you preferred the jazzmaster to the jaguar because of the sound of that type of pick up I didn't want to call them jazzmaster or P90 as that can lead to debates and arguments 😊

Well I'm afraid it's the window shopping game for me as my house is up for sale in spring as I'm off campervanning for a couple of months in the summer with the intention of buying a new humble abode in sunnier climes so my guitar gear is either going to my daughter's attic for storage or I may sell some off haven't decided yet. Hope it's a good one salteedog.

The Vintage Modified are becoming part of the Classic Vibe range from now on hopefully the prices will stay around the current price point advertised I mean if they creep up past £400 may as well buy a Fender. Shipping new range models in April with the intention of adding more models in the summer.

Main thing as far as I'm concerned is that the build quality of the Classic Vibe range is maintained.

They're basically breaking it down to the Classic Vibe series and the Contemporary series
