Out of the box very nearly in tune, once tuned checked intonation and it was spot on. Action 1.6 on bottom E and 1.5 top E at 12th fret. A little high on the top E, the tail piece is cranked right down, the bridge I'd say about halfway up the posts (will adjust this at string change).
I went over the fretboard with a fret rocker very good on the bottom and middle but 4 slightly high frets on topside. This is very slight not a big rock which I can remedy easily (maybe why its set up a little high on top E) and will at some point, probably when I change strings. The fretboard is very nice the Jatoba on this is dark brown with an almost black grain, I don't know if its been stained? The nut is cut well and it states bone in specs, I think it is bone its cut well and it looks like its had some graphite put in a couple of the slots (see smudge in pics below). I've had a look with a magnifying glass it looks like real bone. The finish of the guitar is lovely it looks like the body is one piece either that or its a work of art by whoever stained it, I can see no obvious joins on the back or on the bottom. There are no obvious flaws I can see anywhere.
Had about an hours play through my joyo bantamp and 1x10 cab, tried it clean and also used my sonicake multi pedal. I was very pleased with the pick ups they were not muddy or overly dark, quite loud and surprisingly clear. The guitar is very playable as it is, there are no dead spots on any frets on any strings, I wont address the slight problem with the frets and high top E action right away as it really is not affecting playability. Its states Wilkinson deluxe tuners in the spec but these tuners do not have Wilkinson Deluxe on them (I have a set that do?) the feel very good but I don't think they are as stated. I have not had the back cover off yet or had a meter on the pick ups, I will when I have a bit more time.
It looks to me that it has been QC'd and set up (I even got another in case of fire sticker). I am very pleased with it and glad I got it before Brexit ****s thing up|
Apologies for ****e pics I'M crap with the camera, I will post anything if it crops up but it looks like a keeper.
