I have returned my Zoom B1on today and will get money back as soon they get it next week. I was looking at something affordable but decent with nice tone shaping but no extra FX and found the Behringer V-Tone Bass BDI21 DI-Stomp box. I wonder if I can play this direct into my audio interface? I would use my headphones. If I need extra FX I would buy the Harley Benton pedals like Chorus and Delay later. My audio interface has a Ni-Z input which is great for direct instruments but doesnt sound at its best if one plugs in the multi fx pedal. Not sure if this is the same case with a DI-stomp box? This box has a SLR for PA I assume and an Out for an amp, so Im guessing this Out can also go into the audio interface? All tips and tricks welcome (help)

The BDI21 is a very decent piece of equipment for the price.
I have never recorded through it, but I have used it live and liked it.
You could use the output of the bdi into your interface Hi-Z input, but does your interface not have a line input?
If it does have a line in, I recommend you use that.

Yes it has a line in together with Mic in (2 in 1 jack). Man, maybe thats why my pedals sound bad when recorded because I was using the Hi-Z input Must test the Line in with the pedal and see. Thanks JAC !

Wherever you can, use a balanced audio connection (XLR to XLR).

Got the BDI21 and I like the sound this very sturdy box can make. On Thomann photo it looks like a cheap plastic thing that will go into pieces as soon you touch it but in real life its very heavy and build very solid. The only part feeling cheap is the foot switch.

The only part feeling cheap is the foot switch. I have both that one and the acoustic Di one and like them both . I have gigged the acoustic version and its still works perfectly . As you say , they look cheap and are cheap so maybe put folk off them , but in reallity they are pretty sturdy . Have fun with it ;-)

I returned this pedal back to Thomann not because I wanted to I needed to return the Strat ST-62 because it had too much fret buzz so I decided to return even the American Sound pedal, Warwick power supply and the Diaddario strings to be able to order again without paying for the postage (cheapskate I am). But will order it again just not this time because the new guitar I want costs more than the ST 62. Yeah man, scary solid box and weighs a ton, must be build with lots of components.
