Is there no route under the PG on the PB-50? I think I can see which bass you will get next (idea)

This bass has been on my GAS list for a very long time, however, every time I buy a bass, it always gets overtaken on the home straight. Although, I have just crossed 2 more off the GAS list (which I hope to have soon), and now that I have seen under the PG... I have a craving for something like this:

How does one palm mute with that metal bridge cover I always wondered and never asked I need palm muting since I often play with a pick. That cover would be in my way all the time (samurai)

The answer is you don't, unless you play over the neck.
I actually have a strange way of playing bass, that I can't seem to lose, and don't palm mute all that often (and I can't play with a pick!).

(and I can't play with a pick!). Lucky you I seem to be struggling to learn finger picking (index and middle finger). I play often with just the thumb, or thumb and index finger.

That's the thing, I don't really finger pick either (except on fast notes), I actualy play more like an acoustic guitar, using thumb and 3 fingers, one for each string.

Thats even better I can do that on a guitar but not on the bass for some reason. I think its easier on the guitar because I hold one particular chord and then finger pick with thumb and 3 fingers, with bass the fretting fingers might also change and hence me going out of me comfort zone.

No rout under the scratchplate JAC so it's a shame I made a hash of the routing on my PB-50. Lucky the spare Peavey Super Ferrite mostly covers it
