Jamming some jazz on my Harley Benton hb-35, can you recognize the song? It feels awesome to play, sounds nice as well, great value for the money!

And by the way, DefJef, if you remember we talked about the Blackstar amp, I am using it here, and it actually sounds ok, not too much noise

Is that the background noise that I can hear? Like someone frying bacon by falling water? That's the sound that always alerts me to the fact I've left mine on. I hear it as I pass the room the amp's in. Nope, most of it is room noise, not coming from the amp, but yeah, as soon as I turn ut up the noise will be more present,

My noise has no relation to the volume or gain knobs. Nor which of the amp styles is chosen. As soon as it is on, even without a jack plugged in it's doing a Niagara Falls. Second one to do it. My complaint to Blackstar fell on deaf ears. It was a 'feature' of the amp and I ought to be grateful for it. . Good work Blackstar guys! Yeah, lol, that is crazy. I wonder if they still have it on more recent models, I assume they must have fixed the problem, as I imagine they must have gotten lots of complaints.

They did get a load of complaints. I think they still do. So I guess the noise is still a problem, wow, that is bad, really bad.

It is a very bad fault. Here's a review from Sweet Water in July 2019, "Unfortunately there is an unacceptable, audible hiss that is constantly present and is really annoying when playing at low volumes. I've owned amps over 100 watts that didn't sound this bad at idle. Maybe it's the "stereo" speakers, I don't know. What I do know is that it's a real shame because otherwise it would be a nice little handy amp with great tones. I'm returning this one though and the footswitch which is still en route. A quick Google search will show you many other complaints about this noise. I somehow missed it when researching this amp. My bad." I can't believe the people at Blackstar keep ignoring this problem.
