I’ve been pondering why I want this particular guitar? I admit that I find the “uniqueness” aspect quite alluring and to get a limited edition guitar at 499€ is pretty nice. Then again 350 guitars is still quite a few guitars plus if they sell there will be a non-limited edition for sure as well. This would be a very bad move. The "Limited Edition" needs to remain limited or they will be liars not worth trusting. On the other hand, this model must be some sort of feeler for a potential market and yes, there will be a derived model if it suceeds but with significant differences. I very much doubt we'll see the purple finish again, for instance. The pick-ups, on the other hand, will be kept if they receive good reviews. There is currently no Les Paul shape in the "pro" segment so this is probably the forerunner to that. With a 25" scale, a rounded neck heel and an apparently slimmer body, this looks a lot like competition to the Chapman variant as well as a spec upgrade to the SC-Custom. The Chapman has 24 frets, this one has 22. All in all, this should remain something fairly special. I like the idea, I have two unique Strat's which I treasure for this reason in addition to liking them at first sight.
