And the only guitar I got today (my Jackson) is a also a humbucker, but without coil split. Nice, which Jackson did you get? I saw that GuitarGuitar have a JS32 FR for £249 and was quite tempted by it.

I have an Jackson DK2M which I love

It sure does, but if I were you, I'd stay away from the matte black finished LP. My co-worker has one of these, and the finish is VERY vulnerable because it's applied over some sorta shiny primer coat. The slightest bump or scratch, and the matte finish flakes off. Really annoying, even for a budget instrument. Already after a week of normal usage, he noticed a couple of damaged spots and made a guarantee complaint. Thomann gave him 35 € shop discount (which is quite generous, but still...).

I do love my sc450 plus (Lemon Burst). I don't hate mine (pumpkin burst - it's a special edition). Maybe I'll put a face on it…

We share the same doubt again Let's point out that in my opinion you can't go wrong, none of them looks bad. But on the other hand this doesn't help in the choice I agree with you about the honey flame, it looks more than ok but it's too "mainstream". I also have another guitar of that exact color, so I discarded it. The VB is probably my favorite, I love satin finishes, not only the look but especially the feel on the neck, I would have chosen that but again I already have another guitar with dark satin finish (PRS SE Stealth Quilt). Besides this, a thing that I'm not convinced about, is the yellow binding. In some videos it looks way "too yellow" compared to the gold hardware...I wished the two "gold" colors matched better. So I will probably go with the Lemon or the Ocean flame, both are missing colors in my collection. Anyways, if you decide for the VB, as others told you, keep in mind: satin finish = handle with care

Make sure you sort these videos by publishing date. HB guitars ripen, things get fixed or improved. I was put off by that yellow binding when I looked at it back in 2017, felt just the same. I saw better looking, more recent pictures.

Haven't had a single issue with the finish. I don't abuse my stuff, but I'm not terribly gentle with it. (Every new guitar I get has the strap button screws removed/replaced with long stuff from the hardware store, then either epoxied or superglued into the hole - because I am decidedly NOT gentle with my guitars)

Hmmm... Donut and calebz , if what you say is correct, than I'm afraid that my co-worker has received a guitar with some sort of manufacturing error. If I'm telling him this, he'll be even more frustrated about it. Maybe better not to bring the topic back up to him, I dunno.

There's nothing really to flame off.
