I ordered my first HB. It is the Telecast TE20. Sunburst on rosewood type fretboard. I'm excited to receive it I currently have a Squier Bullet Telecaster that I put a set of Fender tex mex pickups in. That really made a big change in the sound. Curious as to what my Harley will sound like. I tentatively have ordered a Fleor brand Alnico 5 telecaster set to put in the Harley Benton. Does anyone know if these will sound pretty good? I bought as a backup but unsure that I may end up liking it more. I also wanted to learn how to chamge pickups myself and all so that's where I am. How does this sound to some you?

I will contact Thomann Monday and see. The action is quiet high. The neck is fairly good where it is set, just saddles have to come down some and hope no buzz. The pickups, which I've only heard a little lady night, are different. Well different than my other Tele. It has the Fender Tex Mex pickups. These stock pickups seem a little hotter than the tex mex but a little muddy. I actually have gone back and forth with is is a little muddy or just different. It almost has a humbucker or heavy metal sound to it. In fact I kind of like it to the point initially that I may not put the fleor alnico 5 in it yet.

Yeah they are a little less twangy than some standard telecasters, I did a test with my te20 and some USA telecasters, check it out if you have time!
