Due to musical differences I've decided I can't work with myself any more.

There's a rustling noise when it plays any signal through the speaker, I'll have a look through those YTs, ta
I think it's some issue with the speaker.

Just caught this thread. WRTA. They're an electronic device, particularly firmware upgradeable & patchable modelling amps. I'm always a new buyer unless buying a surplus to requirement unit from someone I know well and trust. I don't think you could go wrong with any of the options you've listed MartinBOf the three. The Roland is quite a bit more than the others, but still amortises well over its lifespan if its what you want. Popular as the Katanas are and capable as they are, I would probably choose the middle ground with the Yamaha THR for home use. Lots to like about it for purpose including its footprint. Just an aside, I have to admit, whilst I didn't want to like them because of the brand price gouging generally, among the others I own two Fender amps which I really like. I bought them via Thomann in 2018 for outstanding prices compared with local Fender regional distro price gouging. NLA as Fender have since coerced Thomann into region blocking preventing them shipping anything Fender/Squier to AU. I got lucky at the time just prior to that. In both cases, I have been delighted with the respective performance of both Fender amps in class which has exceeded all expectation I had of them. Just sayin'. Admittedly more grunt and footprint than you're looking for, I find the Fender Champion (Blackface) cleans in particular are impossible not to love, as is the Tweed setting. Love its intuitive interface ergonomics too.
