Hi all,
First post so glad to hear some feedback from fellow owners.
I have an SC-550 deluxe. I was finding the Bass notes very strong; even when Bass was set to low on my amp so decided to try adjust the pickup heights.
First thing I notice is that the pickups seem sort of loose in their slots; if you press down on the front or back of the pickup it will drop down, then release to it's original position once unpressed.
Anyway, I tried to adjust the bridge pickup but nothing happened when I turned the bass side screw to raise the pickup, there was no adjustment.
I removed the screw and noticed it was bent. So my question is does anybody know what screws I need to replace the bent one and also where I can get them.
I contacted Thomann but they have raised a ticket with the supplier rather than just pointing me in the right direction.
Any feedback is welcome.
Thanks

Thomann has pickup screws from Harley Benton in their shop - but most probably that wouldn´t be economical as the shipping costs could be high.
Try AliExpress - I usually buy such small stuff there - just measure length/diameter of one of the current screws and you´re good to go.

I've been in contact with Thomann and they are charging me 15 euros shipping for a product that just cost less than 2 euros. So I will not go with them. The screw type is M2 25mm which I can get on Ali Express but will have to wait until after Christmas for delivery. They do not seem to be common in local hardware stores. I have ordered some from Gear4Music but they are not a matching size (slightly longer and are in American measurement). Will give them a go when they arrive and snip the length if necessary

You should be able to source those from any local guitar bits supplier or on ebay. Don't know where you live but here in the UK I find these: 2mm 25mm pickup screws
As for the pickups rocking, this is normal. They hang like a cradle from a tree on just one pair of screws so some folk like to put a bit of foam packing beneath them. Old skool!
