These things look like a great alternative to something like a SansAmp. Going for an amp-in-a-box market, Fender or Vox, they are getting a lot of enthusiasm online and it looks as though Quilter are having quite a job supplying the demand at the moment. Maybe finally a solid state tiny amp is here with us with some real tube like response?
So the price is around that of a cheap tube combo but it's not in any way CRAZY expensive. It looks as though Pat Quilter has really tried to think of everything here. An effects loop with the opportunity of inserting a backing track at the fx return if you fancy it, and I love the three voicings, the reverb and the limiter onboard too. I gather that limiter helps to get that tubey drive sag. Cab simulation choices too.
If only there was some sort of opportunity for gift giving around this time of year.....
