Thanks for taking the time to do another review thunderbird. The laurel fretboard has some nice figuring in the grain. No two pieces of wood are the same so its always nice to get a good looking fretboard, especially as dot inlays show more of the wood. Even better when it comes with top-notch fretwork. Maybe the days of really scratchy frets on budget HB guitars is a thing of the past? The body colour may be darker than LPB but I quite like it. Then again I'm biased as my TE-20 is a very similar colour!

I will use this topic if somebody knows...what is the main difference between 62db an 62cc beside the visual look? They sound equal to me.

I will use this topic...I have TE-52 and recently bought TE-62cc for my son. As I compare the sound I found that TE-52 sound better than TE-62cc. Both guitars have the same setup and played with the same amp. Is it really a difference between pickups? As far as I know pickups (Wilkinson) should be the same on both guitars, or not? Did anyone else find the same thoughts?

Fender's Teles varied widely in tone over the years with Broadcasters, Nocasters, and Telecasters all sounding the fattest with the bridge pickup getting brighter and twangier over the years. I personally have a preference towards '60s Tele bridge pickups with the raised D and G polepieces. What are the tonal differences you're noticing?

First of all the pickups are Roswell and not Wilkinson, my mistake . Better or different? Both. The Te-52 sound is warmer and fuller to me than the TE-62. I can definitely hear the difference. The height of the pickups is the same on both guitars. Played on two amplifiers, a Fender Champion 40 and a Boss Katana 50. TE-62 is brighter than TE-52. I will play with the height of the pickups a little more to see the difference. Anyway, I still have Tonerider pickups somewhere, which I intend to replace with the existing ones. I 'll let you know about the difference. Don't get me wrong, the TE-62 sounds just fine and it is very good for playing. I just hear the difference compared to the TE-52. But as already I wrote the TE-52 sounds better to my ears compared to the TE-62.

One major difference is that the 52 has an Ash body and the 62 has a Basswood body. Funny thing is that in the sound samples on each of those pages you can hear that the 62 is a bit brighter sounding. I wouldn't say it's better or worse. I'd say it's chocolate milk or strawberry milk.

Ok, so we all agree that guitars sound different and it is a matter of taste which guitar sounds better. It is funny but I didn't spot the difference between sound clips until you mentioned it 😁. If I take into consideraton your facts about the guitars I totaly agree with you why guitars sound differently. But you must agree that both guitars are very good guitars. Thank you for the thoughts. Tom Oh, we thought we were trying to convince you that both guitars were good, just different. LOL Your post read as if you through something was wrong or lower-quality with the new one.
