Anyone have any issues intonating the stock SC junior? The bridge is a little different than most. I got it pretty close but some strings are still sharp and i have no room left on the sadles on those strings and i adjusted the screws on the outside to allow the bridge to pull back but its pretty much maxed. The action is good and the nut is cut properly from what i can see.

Can you post a pic? Maybe you can turn the saddles around if the have the flat face facing the pickup...not ideal but I've done a couple of times and worked just fine. Strange you need to adjust bridge and saddle so much away from pickup....what strings are you using? Sometimes a dodgy string can wreak havoc with intonation. I've had 4 HBS with that bridge and always intonated fine.....even after I swapped them for fixed lighting bar type

I think they ship with ddarrio 10-56. I usually use slinkys skinny tops heavy bottoms

You could upload the picture there and then hit the "Insert Image" button in the editor toolbar and past the link in the dialog box that pops up.

As you still have the strings that came with the guitar(I believe 10/46) and are planning on changing them, I wouldn't spend too much time with setup and intonation untill you have your desired string gauge on the guitar, there will be small shifts in intonation and a change in relief with different gauge strings. But before changing relief, action and intonation I would check nut height by fretting 3rd fret and measuring clearance over 1st fret, should clear but only just, I normally aim for 0.1-0.2mm.
