Hi all,
I'm Erik from Italy and a proud owner of a HB JB-75 bass.
To improve the sustain, I'm thinking about switching the original bridge with a Fender High Mass Bridge IV.
Anyone here has already done this switch? Do I have to drill new holes or the original ones will work fine?
I'm eagerly waiting for you suggestions.
Erik

Yes, it's a direct replacement. I would use another bridge though - I recommend the following one from Gotoh: www.thomann.de/de/gotoh_203b_4_c_bass_bridge.htmIt's made from brass and it has two additional screws in the front so it gives you more sustain as it attaches more rigidly to the body. And it's prettier than the ugly highmass bridge. ;-)
