Sorry for the long post, but trying to give you all the info, so you don't have to go through the trouble to ask.
INTRO The Custom has a 42mm nut width, like Fender, and the neck is described as C profile, with a rather flat 14 inch fretboard radius. With the narrow nut I expected the neck to be on the slim side but I read on the internet that the neck is on the chunky side, for whatever that is worth.
The DLX Gotoh neck is described as a modern C profile with a 43mm nut and a 10 mm radius. This neck seems less chunky based on internet reviews and forum stories.
BACKGROUND Purely as a guitar I prefer the custom with a mahogony body and maybe better woods. Gotoh parts can be added later, but playability is more important for me. my hands are small; I can't stretch to one octave on a piano. Chunky necks that are 'filled'on the sides like a U profile or some C's are my enemy.
REFERENCE GUITARS I have: HB TE52, TE62, Fender Strat 76, Gibson LP BFG 2007, from those the Gibson has the best scale length but is very chunky. Squier bullet Mustang, Gretsch 2655, Gretsch 5220; Mustang and 2655 I like, the 5220 is too chunky.
Thanx
