Hello all, I just bought myself a TE-52 and am very pleased. It's playable with the factory set up.... however, i plan on doing a full set up over the next week or so,.... to lower the action and set intonation for the strings i like.... flat wound 10 to 48 (with wound G). I think the guitar has 10 to 46 gauge (with a plain G) as it's currently "as is" from Thomann.
I have had a quick check with the fret rocker and found a couple of high frets (6th and 9th) and some at 14th and 17th so i was going to spot dress the frets rather than level the lot, then re-crown and polish, in order to get a super low action.
So my question...... does anyone know if the guitar has a bi-flex truss rod? I may need to adjust the neck relief as i'm hoping for around 0.008" (0.2mm) at 7th fret with capo on 1st and fingered at 16th.
The guitar has a dark wooden plug around the trust rod adjuster, right? But i'm not taking it for granted that it's adjustable to reduce back-bow as well as forward relief.
Does anyone have any experience adjusting neck relief with these guitars?
Thanks in advance PG

IMHO you should use the chat function on Thomann website - as they write nothing about it on their product page I doubt that someone knows it for sure.
