I bought a used left-handed Harley Benton sc 550ii. The guitar plays well, and is in good condition. The only issue I have is the 3-way toggle switch is faulty. Sometimes when I flip the switch to the neck pickup position, the guitar simply stops producing any sound, or there is barely any sound, or if the neck pickup works fine, the bridge pickup doesn't work. Other times, all the switch positions will work normally. It's very random actually. What would be a high quality drop in replacement switch that will presumably last a long time?

Yep, fauity switch
Just scrap it and opt for a better quality one.
Not that this one is necessary a crap, but changing for better is good habit when it comes to faulty gear

I'l try with WD-40 spray first. If it doesn't help, what would be a good quality drop in replacement switch? There are all sorts of different switches. I don't want to buy one, only to find out it won't fit.

I'm happy to report that contact cleaner did an excellent job. The toggle switch works perfectly fine now. Hopefully, it'll keep on working from now on.

ttmax Thanks man. It's really a great guitar. The fretwork is exceptional, rounded fret ends, no fret sprout, Tesla pickups sound really great, I love them, all the cavities are shielded, the guitar is very quiet, the intonation is perfect, tuning stability is unreal. This guitar stays in tune no matter what I do to it. I am first and foremost a lead guitar player, I bend strings a lot, including two whole step bends and wide vibratos, but the guitar sipmly stays in tune no matter what. I can't imagine a guitar in this price range would come from factory with such a good setup, so I suspect the previous owner had it set up at some point. Anyway, I'm really impressed so far.
