Due to musical differences I've decided I can't work with myself any more.

this is a very interesting thread. I personally prefer the open back amps. I find that the sound "flows" better [for lack of a better term]. Closed back amps can sound "boxy" and very "directional" . However, the closed back amps tend to be better for that lovely stereo effect.
Semi-closed are preferable in all regards [and you can always close them if you so want to].
But each one has its own specificity and place.Yep, I think it's time for me to fit a kind of sliding sluice gate on the back of my Blackstar so that I can choose an opening setting to suit my mood. "Today I am feeling very 'letterbox'."

I have been fiddling with the Nux Amp Sim pedal all evening and man this dirt cheap pedal makes my amp sound sooo much better and it even makes my Digitech RP70 sound more gritty more like "blood'n'bones", I tried it before and after the Digitech and both sound awesome on clean amp settins but crap on distorted setting which is fine. On the amp it sounds good on both clean and dirt channel depending what you want. Very happy bunny I am I am yet to plug it into the interface and see how it behaves. Im not sure why my wife told me to get out of the kitchen when she always complains that Im never interested in being in the kitchen and now that Im finaly in there she kicks me out ***!

Postman just came in with 2 more Nux pedals; NUX Core 'Overdrive and Booster' one can choose either to use just the boost or just the overdive or both. This Core line is built much better than the other two pedals. The knobs are more firm and dont wobble at all. NUX Chorus analogue. Sounds great, no noise all is metal even the washer on the switch is metal. All seems very strong except the knobs are a bit wobbly as on the Amp Sim pedal. All in all so far Im happy with these Nux pedals and might get a few more from the Nux Core like

I've found this on you tube and its pretty acurate but I will also make a recording soon This Chorus sounds lovely and just keeps me playing the guitar which is positive, to have a sound that simply takes the "sense of time" away Now my Kustom amp sounds really good but I will soon get a Jensen speaker for it to see if I can get it to sound even better because there is still too much bass in this Kustom 12" speaker and this overdrive/boost is very good sounding but I just cant get my guitar to squeal with it so will have to fiddle a bit more but sure gives a nice silky sound, me likey a lot

Chorus is my favorite Effect. It's a cool "sometimes on" effect for something "extra"

freekingprawn it sais on the Chorus that it needs min. 300mA power does that mean it cant play with 100mA ? I am soon to get the Power Station and all outputs are 100mA and only one is 500mA I thought all small "normal" pedals (not talking about Strymon) needed no more than 100mA to function

Like some go 9v others 16v or 18v. Where did you get those 300mA?

From the user manual;
I think that is a false description and sure all these small pedals can work when plugged into a 9V 100mA socket on the power station

But don't worry, you can daisy chain it to draw more power if it requires it.
