Just wondering if any of you have heard of this brand and/or know what it's like. It's around the same price range as Harley Benton but I can hardly find anything about it online. I've spoken to a guy on the phone that was part owner and had a nice chat. I can get a b-stock HB SC-500 but since I want it to look like a black beauty a Dimavery actually looks more similar. It's around 30 euros more but I wouldn't have to purchase some stuff that I would when getting the Harley Benton. This is the one I'm interested in: www.dimaverymusic.nl/dimavery-lp-520-elektrische-gitaar-zwart-goud.html

I once bought a lefty acoustic five string Dimavery bass, straight from the box firewood would have been a too good description for that thing, everything you could think off was wrong on it - bad nut and bridge nut, bad fretwork (sharp fret ends, not level, bumpy and rough frets), badly done inlays, bad setup (nonexistent), bad strings, bad tuners, bad electronics (drained the battery in two days and sounded crap), the only good working thing was the piezo pickup which they managed to put in wrong! The only good working part was the Truss rod. I took all of my building skills to make it into a player, it came to me as a real piece of s**t! I promised myself never ever to buy anything again from this brand. Maybe my experience was exemplary but please be cautious with this brand.

Couldn't comment here for a while but seems it's fixed I ordered the guitar, the customer service is great, I send an email and they get back to me within a few hours sometimes minutes. If anything's wrong I'm sure they will help me out. I get it on monday, along with some replacement parts for the guitar that I ordered via Thomann to make it look more like a black beauty

I do hope you have more luck with the quality of this guitar than I had with my bass.

^Thanks, I'll let you know. Do you still have the bass? It looks nice!

Still own it, it took some serious work but I turned it into a fairly good playing bass. You don't see too many lefty acoustic five string basses so it was worth the effort, and I like to tinker so it was fun to get it into good playing state as well.

Received the guitar, looks/sounds very decent. Only minus is the plastics wouldn't come off very smoothly and some pieces I can't get off well around the screws and edges, nothing major. The toggle switch is a bit loose, does work well. Tuning works well. Happy so far! Unfortunately the parts I ordered at Thomann to replace some bits (toggle switch cap and jack plate) won't fit. Will try and arrange for Thomann to send me a few different once so I can try what fits and return what doesn't. If someone can tell me how to posts pics I will make & post some!

See www.bax-shop.com/Hope this will step up the quality.

That could indeed make them start building better quality instruments. Dimavery is the cheap brand sold in Danish shops

^Hmm, interesting! My guitar is absolutely fine, plays well and sounds well.
I spoke with the owner of the website dimaverymusic.com and he did not refer to Bax very excitedly. They ask more $ than the official Bax website does. He also told me the guitar I ordered had to come from Germany, it's made in China. Much like Thomann?
Actually they've now lowered the prizes on Bax, my guitar (LP-520) used to be 200 and now it's just beneath the prize on dimaverymusic.com.
