Thanks for that update Marit!!! Only problem I see is a Gretsch should never ever ever have speed knobs. The green DC and the hollowbody that looks like a double anniversary would look great if they had arrow G knobs on them. Here is the latest they introduced at NAMM a week ago: linkThey are creating a stir in the guitar magazines. Might get the tennessee rose one.

^Ah didn't notice the speedknobs, agree with you doesn't look nice.
The players edition isn't in my price range, that's a nice looking guitar tho. Well, they all are. Let us know when you've got it!

Woah they look the business, is this a new line or they've been there for a while? They look like streamliner copies but the headstock is a copy of the Gibson one (quite a nice one I must say).
I dislike the fretboard inlays on the streamliners, really puts me off.

Is their current line, they are so-called "Gretsch" copies. Still eyeing for one, even though I already have the HB Bigtone. Personally I already have the ES335 model from them. See the Jack & Danny thread. J&D being the homebrand of Musicstore.

I came across them before, all these guitars are most likely from China and will be similarly good or bad.
I've got a Bigtone on my wishlist too, just a bit concerned they are jazz guitars as I play NY style music (eg loud and noisy). I hear the feedback is awful, altho NY quite likes a bit of feedback himself LOL.

Not keen on any of those colours and if this bright yellow one is 'vintage white' then so is a canary. Vintage White SA 70

I got one of the Juniors yesterday. Absolutely love it. I'm a bit of a Gretsch fan to put it mildly, and was so glad to see these coming out. If they didn't have these or the Electromatics, then I'd never have had the chance to have a Gretsch, even though the purists are going absolutely berserk over these, saying they ruin the exclusivity of the brand. If it means I can afford one, then stuff exclusivity....!

The speed knobs were on original Streamliners in the 50s, that's why they chose them for this series.

They are made in the Cort factory in Indonesia, the same as G&L, some Fenders, some PRS, some Ibanez and of course Cort guitars themselves. The pickups are designed by Gretsch and made in Korea by G@B who do a lot of other kinds, such as Duncan Designed stuff. They are really good... Not just your normal Gretsch tones but a whole wide range... Lovely sounding and will handle full overdrive as well as a Setzer solo!

For 'exclusivity' read 'snobbery'. Quite.... I love being able to buy things! I'm sure the company loves me to be able to buy things too! Win-win!
