Not keen on any of those colours and if this bright yellow one is 'vintage white' then so is a canary. Vintage White SA 70If it's an old canary, sure, why not?

teenie: congrats on your guitar, looks nice! Here we are having hours of conversation about the HB-35 and you buy a gorgeous red Gretsch guitar! Enjoy it. Does anyone know if the J&D are also made in China, like the HBs? My boyfriend has a Gibson Black Beauty and a Gretsch White Falcon but he's very impressed by the Harley Benton guitars and also some of the other 'cheaper' model guitars I have. With a price that's 10 times as much, I really wouldn't want to 'waste it' so to speak. Perhaps if I had millions I probably would, but for now I prefer getting several different types and models of guitars and yet not even get close to the price of 1 high-end Gibson, Gretsch etc.

Ooo. I've just received this. I am in hog's heaven. But I've got to ask again: what is that little piece of fabric under the bridge. Or is it a genuine piece of Chet Atkins sandpaper...or a a piece from the bottom of the canary's cage.

Thanks. I love all reasonable priced guitars. My CST 24 HB is just as amazing and half the price again... I'd love a Gretsch proline like a falcon or a panther, but, even if I had the money, I couldn't justify it.... I'd be scared to touch it! I'm like you... I prefer having fun with lots of different ones rather than pitting it all into one that I'd be too sacred to play!

Is it just me or is there something weirdly odd, square, clumsy and plain wrong about the upper shoulder of this Jack and Danny Gretschalike? Or is it just that the knobs in that area are just too small or badly spaced? It's a subtle wrongness of curve to me that says the designer doesn't have an aesthetic eye.

Looks asymmetrical to my eye also. Almost like two different guitars glued together. Total design error

Just had a chat with my boyfriend about fabrics underneath the bridge, it's to protect the lacquer on the guitar from scratching. Just would've thought of a more subtle way to hide it.

It's like the left side is bigger than the right side or something. It's been on the site as a b-stock for quite a while now, who dares to order it mmmm

Somebody should have told Chet to abandon his sandpaper idea then. Actually, I'm wondering now if that isn't a piece of tape that the owner uses as a marker so he can locate the bridge quickly and properly each time. (Little tip to remember there marit). You may notice that it lines up with the little notch in the f hole. Apparently that notch was placed there on violins for exactly that reason: to tell the player where the bridge goes. Does yours line up with it?

There's just too many way too cheap guitars out there (HB being number 1), why waste all your money on 1 "great" guitar when you can spend it on 10 very good guitars and have versatility to work with?

Doh, I've just realised it's the wooden bridge with light shining on it. Better go to Specsavers.

Does yours line up with it? Someone did advice this to me but I kinda forgot in the heat of the moment. Just looking at pics on the Thomann website it does seem that the bridge lines up with the outer notch notch of the f hole, mmm interesting. Think we all need to make a visit to Specsavers (or Hans Anders in my case), I did not manage to see your mistake either.
