Just picked up the Egnator Tweaker 112 used today off a friend and man if you are looking for a nice small tube amp with a variety of tones, this is it. It has some nice settings which go between an American, British, and Vox voicings. It has a clean and hot channel which drives nicely without being harsh. Also two other switches one for a Deep and Tight settings and another for Normal and Bright settings. It's got a bass, mid, and treble eq adjustment as well. Lastly it has a buffered effects loop in back which is a big plus. It's 15watts with a Celestion Vintage 30 speaker in it and they go for around $600 new which isn't bad considering the competitions prices and this is more versatile. Only downfall is no reverb, but I already have a TC Electronic Hall Of Fame so that was a no issue for me. Sorry for not having a video, but my phones microphone doesn't record the tone well. On a side note that amp next to it looks like a Kustom but it's actually a fender tweed clone that I built with a "Warehouse Guitar Speakers" Retro 30 model that I stripped a cheap Kustom apart for the cabinet.

Im jealous if Im lucky I will sell my SC-550 Paradise today and I just might have the money to buy a second hand Laney Cub 10 5 years old with new tubes. There is also a VHS head + cabinet for the same money so not sure which route to go ...

There is also a VHS head + cabinet for the same money so not sure which route to go ... Just make sure it suits what you want to play. The one downfall with tube amps is that they aren't incredibly versatile across genres unless you get something like this egnator with fancy circuits for the pre-amp built in. I can crank this and get a nice EVH style tone or dull it down roll the volume on the guitar of a little and it's perfect for blues/jazz. This thing is the most versatile little amp I have played through without spending big bucks on a fancy higher watt head. Pedals help a lot though, if you play heavier stuff I suggest a Digitech "Bad Monkey", Tube Screamer, or Boss Super Overdrive to get that extra gain. The lower watt amps need to be cranked to 11 without the help of pedals for high gain stuff.

Yeah pedals for me are a must because I use different sounds in my recordings all from hi-gain to mellow overdrive, scream drive, chorus, phazer, reverb, delay all except the Tremolo vibratory sounding effects which make me feel dizzy After seeing this Russian dude making such fine sound with the Kustom Defender 5 using pedals Im confident that I will get what Im after

Thanks a friend of mine went to a 30watt peavey and had this sitting around and gave me a price I couldn't refuse. Best decision I've made and he saved me more than what Thomann screwed me out of on the ST-90SA so it made me feel better about that situation. The only downfall I see with this amp is that it definitely would need to be mic'd for clean tones live with a band, but I'm just a bedroom jammer so it's perfect for me.
