Has anyone used a Soundblox envelope filter? I'm looking to create a dubstep bass wobble effect and of all the you tube videos I've seen the source audio pedal seems to be the best when paired with a hot hands. I've tried using my zoom bfx708 but the synth effect is a bit limited.

I nearly bought the hothand myself to use with ableton, but in the end I never got around to it.
Forma the wobble effect I use an extra midi track in ableton so it automates the "wobble".
Sorry I cant help you out with the pedal.

Thanks JAC, its the live aspect that grabs me so I think I will go ahead with the pedal if I can do a deal for a second hand one on a local site and try outthe wired hot hand as its so much cheaper than the wireless.

Funny you ask, as I was watching some demos on youtube for the pro some days ago. But the price tag and some not so happy reviews drove me off from the idea. There is the Behringer bass synth pedal that some people use for dub step with an exp pedal. But alas, it's a Behringer. I'm to get one tho.

The behringer doesn't work that badly, in fact, the FCB is a good option, if you don't mind spending a few days of your life working out how to set it up! mrdes, I do use it live, I use a foot controller for my laptop and run through Ableton. I did use the FCb for a while, but ended up making my own foot controller.

Thanks for the replys, its cool that there are so manys of getting the same sound. Dont know if im ready to try to get my head around the FCB!! I think there is a part of me that wants to stand there waving my hand at the pickups like a wally so ive ordered a multiwave distortion pedal and hot hand from thomann and will try to score the envelope filter second hand and if not maybe a boss or if the behringer works with the hot hand id be happy to try it out.

Just so you know, you can also use the hot hand with a PC if you want to try out different effects before buying them.

Yes, you will need some kind of DAW, I like Ableton because it is so easy to use live, but I believe that you can use the HH with any DAW that accepts MIDI control.
I am sorry but I am not Mac literate, I have only used Logic on Mac.
