Due to musical differences I've decided I can't work with myself any more.

Careful with those ironstones. I bought platinums for my PAC112 a few years ago. I think Tony put them in to match the humbucker but they are all 7k windings and they really honk. And they really overpower my Fender amp. Thinks.... maybe I should just lower them. Hmmmm If I was buying again I would be tempted to try the silvers... Yep the platinums are hot. The Golds are the way to go at around 5.5K each. That's what went in my neck position. Love it,

I must say that those no name cheap Chinese Alnico I bought are just awesome sounding. I know its a gamble when buying no name pups from Aliexpress or ebay but this time I had a jack pot! These china bad boys are staying in my strat lovely creamy fat buttery cottony sound, the neck as well as the middle are just yummy and even the bridge is usable because for some reason it has a bit lower volume than the neck but most definitely not hot (I dislike hot pups)
