Has anyone used one of these? www.thomann.de/gb/vox_amplug_2_ac30.htmOK not technically an amp but I'm thinking for the late night headphone urges when even dragging the amp out seems a task They any good?

Hi john, I'm using the V1 as my main practicing 'amp' as with 2 children i only have time to play at night. That or i play without any amplification at all. For me, it works great, it's more than i need. Sometimes i even plug it to a Bluetooth speaker through an aux-in It's not great, but it works My only complain is that after a little more than 2 years of usage, i have crackling noises when i use the volume and/or gain pots. An alternative would be to use a multi-fx pedal like Digitech RP-55 or Zoom G1xon. Those also have headphone outputs and multiple effects/amps modelisation ( even looper for the Zoom ).

I know I am not a guitarist, so I shouldn't really go around recommending guitar stuff, but I have a couple of friends who have the Vox plugs, and they are pretty decent for what they are. I must also say though, based on that, I tried the bass version...

To try and make all that pounding and hammering that's going on at the back sound like music?
