Thank you but I am not able to locate the release announcement on Henning's channel and Thomann's website. Strange how a product can be sold out before the official launch. Unless this limited run was claimed beforehand by friends, acquaintances and those in the know.

It will be a limited run and there was no announcement yet.
Henning is currently on vacation and he said the announcement could happen end of Feb or a bit later.
So they cannot be sold out as they weren‘t on sale yet.

Yes, and this is my understanding but fdotr has insider information from Thomann that if it is true would suggest any future announcement/offer for sale would be a complete farce as they are already spoken for [sold out/pre-sold]. If there are deals and shenanigans happening behind Henning's back this will not end well. I might contact Henning directly about this when he returns from Langkawi.

Pretty sure it is a misunderstanding.

Pretty sure it is a misunderstanding. I have considered this possibility also. And we must hope so.

Henning does so much fuss about honesty and so on I find that hard to believe. Ok, the #1 and #2 probably will be reserved for Henning (maybe for auction in favor of Leslie´s shelter) but I cannot imagine the whole run to be gone already. Maybe you can contact Henning directly?

I know what you mean. When people continually tell you that they are honest. However I think he is as honest as he can dare to be. I have a lot of admiration for the fellow. And I agree with the probability that forty-two guitars have been reserved for family and friends etc is quite a stretch. Maybe the employee at Thomann (likely to be German) conjugated the verbs incorrectly in response to fdotr 's enquiry.

well for those who are interested in this guitar, it won't be available any time soon. I'm starting to think its more of a marketing stunt to launch there pro series, or just plane click bait.

Yes this is my idea of desirable 'bling' :- That looks like it could do with some patent knotting 😎

Quite confusing really. They scrapped the guitars because the neck wood is too soft and they are afraid the frets would come out. Are they one piece necks? i.e. no separate fretboard (so like the American std. maple necked Fenders). I never heard of a complete neck made from baked maple though. Maple yes but baked maple? Perhaps it's the same thing with a bit of dye added? And as for adding the trussrod nut at the body end....well that's just crazy (I know, I know..many Fenders have that too). Why couldn't he have just gone with a regular maple neck with a rosewood (or roseacre/baked maple) fretboard? This guitar is daft.

To be honest, I don't like this guitar...

Well, the trussrod will be similar to the Peavey types which I really prefer. I have a Peavey strat and the trussrod adjustment can be done with a screwdriver rather easily. You don´t have to remove the neck as on those stupid Fender ones from the past. Ok, now I have a new word in my vocabulary - daft. :-) I think it was much more desireable with the Purple Heart neck, now it is just another version of the Fusion Pro. My interest is declining rapidly and I am enjoying traveling the offset road.
