I typically use the purple 1.13 mm tortex ones but I have a little tub full of all sorts of picks. They go from 1 mm up to 3 mm, I really liked the 2 mm Adamas graphite pick for a while until I noticed that if it was in contact with the strings there was a horrible scratching noise.
I drop my pick frequently, seems to be something wrong with my hand, it will just stop gripping it randomly so I often just use fingers and thumb.

Perhaps they are different marit . All my nylon ones, whilst being grippy and thick still seem to have a rather soft attack and get quite rough edges. That can be great for scraping sounds though. I seem to prefer anything more tortoiseshelly or hard plastic. The edge and feel are the most important factors to me. If grip is then a problem I'll drill or punch a 5mm hole in them. That way I can also wear them round my neck on a piece of elastic like my gloves when I was 5 years old so I wouldn't lose them. Hmm. Idea.... Do it!

Neil's guitartech Larry Cragg did mention he uses these picks because otherwise he'll shred his strings because he plays very rough. Mind you, he uses his fingers most of the time, too.

Due to musical differences I've decided I can't work with myself any more.

Do it! Now those would shred your strings. Or punch a hole in your guitar if you're being that extra bit intense with your soloing! marit I would probably hate those picks, they seem thin and i really do not like nylon picks myself, but if i ever see one lying around in an airport or the grocery store i will be sure to pick it up! DefJef I am sorry to say i've done the "unknown pick in the mouth" thing myself too, really makes you feel like you've made a bad decision in life. Anyone want to take some pictures of some of their picks? Why do we always end up with so many! ^ One of the many pouches of picks i have emptied out...

I don't have many laying around, I try not to loose mine. I have a whole bag of those jazz Dunlop once, actually 2 because I thought Thomann forgot to send them out then I eventually found them somewhere hidden in that box

Was going to photo mine but I'm using the sd card as a pick at the mo'. You should fill it with photos of picks, then you have all of them in one
