After 12 days arrived about 1hour ago. Like the guitars now I've spent half hour checking and tuning each one, not a sign of a QC card or stickers or picks (which are in all the you tube unboxing videos)in either box and to be honest do not think they were QC'd the strings on both loose to extreme. All other items ok just going to check cases now.

Maybe they slacken the strings off post QC for shipping purposes, wouldn't want the neck under tension if you're changing altitudes/climates.
I'm assuming HB assembly them somewhere like China and Thomann just store them in Germany.

If you watch any unboxing Videos on you tube they have cards with numbers of QC person number with stickers , plectrums. I'm not bothered about stickers or plectrums. But did expect them to be QC'd the strings on the TE70 are weird sort of rough and tacky, if they are d'addarios they are not like the ones on my les paul.

QC cards on HB mean NOTHING! I had guitars with 3 QC cards signed by diferent folks and still the guitar was crap.
Buying HB is Lottery folks. If you get a good one keep it for the rest of your life! It's such bang for the buck! Last year I ordered 8 HBs , 7 had issues kept only the ST-62MN. Btw, all of them had QC cards = means NOTHING!

Dont gget me wrong I will only ever buy HB guitars because when I get a good one I actually get a guitar worth 5-10 times its price. Imagine how much Fender would charge for a 1962 reissue, well made, with 7 way switching, 3 Alnico balanced vintage pickups? This is my modded ST-62MN and is an axe worth dying for! I love it to bits!
My new TE-70BP is an amazing guitar! Such great guitar out of the box, SUCH sustain and attacks and such rich harmonics and fine overtones (both unplugged and plugged). I was not happy with the Roswells and bought Ironstone pickups. They too are way too hot for my taste so will likely keep searching for some low output pickups in form of Lipstick Tube for the neck and God knows what for the bridge (maybe keep the Ironstone bridge pup for extra poke).
I hope your TE-70 is 80% of what I have got and you are a winner! Playability is the important part all other parts can be modded or swapped but playability and resonance of the instrument you cant do much about.

It appears ok I like the look and feel of it it just the gungy strings but not sure wether to use fast fret or just give it a few days and see what they are like then? I have lipsticks in all 3 positions in my strat they give a very bright sound even tho they are low gain I believe. I think they would suit slide guitar and finger pickers.

Always change the stock strings! You will have issues intonating those rusty strings! New set of strings once you decide you are keeping the guitar. I also wait with new strings until I do all the modding I planned.

Its weird the strings on the D120 are really good and feel great, the TE70 don't look or feel rusty and they look like d'addarios but feel like the are coated in sludge!nothing like any strings I've ever felt.

My D120 was horror! The truss rod was hanging 5cm out of its cavity! My best HB acoustic was the CLA16 Spruce! But Im not an acoustic player, love me electric tone instead! Maybe the sludge is an anti-corroding salve

Touch wood! This D120 looks superb. I'm not really into acoustic! my guitar teacher keeps telling me to get one it feels big and awkward and I'm over 6foot and have a long reach but feels strange I feel like i should play it on a high stool in a christmas jumper like Val Doonican!
