I don't have that thing, Vincent . The title would surely be "Oh Bugera!". That looks a little vindictive, DefJef

@chedapapa , DefJef I know you have had problems with new amps recently but spare a thought for this poor guy and take a look at his new amp system. It is a monster. I think it will be expensive too. My wife is very supportive with regards to my guitar thing but if I installed one of these in the day room she might stamp her feet a little. If only he had bought a

I did not notice any buzz when I watched the video to be honest. If I get fret buzz in that area of the neck the first thing I check is the relief and fret heights. Unless the saddles were set too low to begin with, raising them is the lazy way of addressing the issue. I know this because I have done it many times myself. It can be a pain in the **** lifting the neck to gain access to the truss rod. Turning the screw. Reassemble. Not enough. Lift the neck again. Repeat.

Am I hearing a load of fret buzz on those Steve Vai cleans? They sound kind of choked and fizzy. I was only worrying that I was getting some on my tele the other day around the 8th fret and was considering raising the action again. Maybe it's acceptable. On G and B strings?

I'm hearing the buzziness. It wouldn't be my idea of a nice clean tone (none of the ones he demoed) - I think he runs his cleans with a fair bit of gain.
Some folks here will hang me for my sheer ignorance but I wouldn't be able to distinguish between Vai, Satriani and Malmsteen in a shoot-out. Vai played for a while with PIL though so he gets a star for that.

Due to musical differences I've decided I can't work with myself any more.

Ah, maybe it's the mic overloading. Whatever it is it's a horrible sound. Meanwhile I went back to my tele and I don't think there's an issue. Relief is very nearly flat from when I was going through my 'lowest is best' phase but I seem to have been wanting higher lately so I may add a bit more. Did a fret rock and all the rest and couldn't find anything particularly worrisome. Just the action is very low. There's a lot of snap to my playing anyway, using fingers and claw hammers and all so it's not a concern really. Meanwhile again, I managed to get back home to video the Bugera for Thomann. It complied in flashing as before but this time only one Infinium LED lit up so the sound never totally died. I got the hum and rumble and then it went away. The light still flashed like a New York fire engine but I never got total amp failure this time. Switched off and thought I may manage to record the Bug before it goes back so set up a dynamic mic and hurriedly did a recording without paying too much attention to tone. I really wanted to hear what that gain channel would do, especially with the OCD pedal in front of it. It sounded great in the room and the amp refused to repeat its Infinium LED nonsense as though nothing was now wrong with it! Sadly, when I played back the DAW recording I'd managed to clip the signal. I'm not sure what to make of this but do wonder about this Infinium circuit. One day it's shutting down and telling me I need two new power tubes. Five days later they are apparently all fine and dandy.

You are within your RETURN rights no matter if its broken or not. Return the thing as it should not behave like that. I never had such issues with my Infinium V5. Also, yet to read a review about V22 and V55 Infiniums doing what you describe )yours will be the first of such reviews).
Postal sevices maybe tossing these around like basketballs! I wonder why my G20 is stuck in Hamburg for 2 whole days?!?!
If you like the tone of the OCD into V22 you can always re-order the amp or hunt one second hand.

Also, did you try to take the tubes out and then place them back it? Sometimes the connection maybe loose as the amp was bumped a few times and the tube maybe move out of the connection a bit?

I want something reliable, not dubious. I guess I owe you an appology for pushing you to get a Bugera amp. Sorry for that.
