It this the first collectible Harley Benton? Nope. There was Harley Benton acoustics with Playboy pin-up graphics on the back. This was a few years back and there were 6 designs if my memory is correct.

For a brief period I had folk ask about the RB 414, then interest waned.
Thinking about that I doubt any HB's will be sought after items. Outside of a few HB club there's little interest in them, or indeed awareness of them.
To become a sought after item there has to be demand. Possibly the TE-7 could considered a must have classic but I see that only among HB owners.

How long have HB been a brand? 20 years? It's a budget brand albeit producing some good guitars. But and it's a big BUT they are basically copies, can't see them ever having a stand at NAMM or the like. It would be interesting to know how many HB's are sold in comparison to Squier, Cort, Vintage or similar brands.

I read that so-called "lawsuit" Ibanez, which were copies too, are sought after. I do not expect Harley Benton to ever command strong prices but I could see some of them become some sort of special bargain people would look for and prefer to their Squier or Epiphone equivalents.

Do Vintage or Cort have NAMM stands? Aren't they basically copies too? That's basically what I said. And why I would like to know how they compare sales figure wise.

The Ibanez, burny, greco and tokai lawsuit one's I believe are virtually exact copies. Not the 10% difference I think they have to make to avoid infringing copyright.

LeoThunder the Squier and epiphone are a step above with their higher end models than HB. These two brands are more recognisable world wide than HB I believe, and have the advantage of being backed by Gibson and Fender. Ibanez and Tokai are big players in their own right. As you your self have said Leo HB's are OK if you don't mind having to do a set up or minor improvements. I can't see HB competing with the middle or upper range guitars or being as desirable.

Due to musical differences I've decided I can't work with myself any more.

I didn't pick up on that. Thought you were saying HB were copies so unlikely to attend, unlike Cort and Vintage. Sorry about that.

Sorry about that. k There are a lot of budget brands out there that are supposedly lower quality than HB's. I have only seen or picked up these brand guitars in shops. Some have obvious flaws some look quite good. I suppose it's a bit like all brands either you get a good one or not. Being this is the HB forum, we do seem to get carried away at times in regards how good HB's are compared to other brands. I think they are good guitars at a good price, good value. I do wonder however how many Ibanez, squier, Cort, epiphone etc are returned due to quality control issues? Which in a long winded roundabout way was why I asked about sales numbers.

No, but they are already competing with the Affinity line. Should the ST-62 or the TE-52 go away, I could see people buying them at their former new price or even more rather than paying for an Affinity. Something similar could happen for the SC-550 or several of the basses like the JB-75 or the fretless JB-40.
