A few degrees off. On my phone here (by pool in Bordeaux )so cannot post a photo. I reckon the two pickups are identically sized. Here's mine - was stuck in Bordeaux for a few days longer than expected due to SNCF train disruption for lines into Paris Montparnasse. Holidays=stress? Although I suppose one could be stuck in much worse places than Bordeaux.

I quite like the tone of this guitar. It's great for the spiky new wave sound. Great guitar for playing Psycho Killer on (and David Byrne used a Mustang on all those early Talking Heads songs).
Does a nice Velvet Underground tone too...again a solid state single coil harsh tone - certainly not a sound to everyone's liking but great for that percussive character that suits some songs.

The pups are supposed to be Alnico but who knows these days with Thomann's descriptions. I'll inspect them once I get around to a full dismantle as I want to check out the vibrato mechanism too. I'm not convinced that they are RWRP for middle position either.

Hmm...there's an extra screw on the scratch-plate near the bridge pickup switch that isn't there on the new models either. What else is different?
Correction- same number of screws but different positions.

Hi everyone, was scratching my head figuring out why this neck plays so well(for me anyway) and so I checked the nut measurement.Well Lordy be!It's not 41mm as described on thomann's page but a massive whopping 43mm!But I love it! Gosh they sure wrote a lot of bull**** on that page.

Makes you wonder if any of them are accurate.
