Nice. How is the Green Russian treating you? I'm seriously thinking of getting one. It's either that or the Carcosa Fuzz. Carcosa probably a bit more versatile but well muff is muff. It doesn't get a lot of use (for my dirt I prefer distortion and overdrive) but it's a seriously good sounding pedal, when I'm using it I love what it does. It's very hard to dial in the right (read: my  ) sound from it, almost all variations with the three knobs sound great. |

I pulled the trigger on a Green Russian from Inta-audio in the UK via Amazon. (Continued weakness in sterling and more reasonable shipping costs than Thomann allowed me to save €11 on the deal......better in my pocket than theirs  ). |

Also no lust for new pedals, already for a few months now. Been just under two week since I posted this.... and guess what reared up its ugly head again.... GAS.  It never stops!  Discovered the Earthquaker Devices Ghost Echo, man this reverb is something special. As if don't have enough reverbs on my board - Boss RV-6, EQD Afterneath, TCe Fluorescence Shimmer Reverb and EHX Canyon in shimmer mode. Anyway............. it should arrive here on Monday  . The TC electronic Alter Ego will have to make way on my board for this one, I don't use it very often and even though it's a very good delay I prefer a reverb over a delay. |

Received the Ghost Echo today.... and it's going back to Bax Music again. They sold it as B-stock, but it's more like a dud, after about 20 minutes it stops reverbing and starts emitting a soft high pitched sound!  |

Despite the setback still lusting for this Ghost Echo Reverb so ordered me a new one at Thomann.
Bax Music is going to fully refund me on the dud after I send it back to them.

How do you like your Frogman? I'm not totally happy with mine as it will color the tone darker when I crank the mix or/and volume knobs.
Also the speed knob at about 3 o'clock is going from moderate to very fast and one has to really dial in that wobbly speed so it's not too fast or too slow. I'm missing more sweep in that position.

I like it a lot, mainly due to the volume knob.
I think this speed knob behavior is just the nature of the beast, I have several tremolo pedals and it's about the same on all of them.
I've owned the HB tremolo and still own the Boss TR-2 and EQD Nightwire and of course this CKK.

The new Ghost Echo arrived yesterday, there was more wrong with the dud than I thought at first, this new one can be adjusted al lot more and better than the faulty one! However, I could only test the dud for about 20 minutes . The obligatory upgraded board picture.  |

The ever-changing board! Reinstated the TC Alter Ego delay - missed it on the board. To do this I removed the TC Mimiq mini which didn't get much use anyway. Also worked out the order I like with all the delays, revebs and shimmers. The order is: TC Fluorescence (shimmer), EH Canyon (shimmer), EQD Afterneath, EQD Ghost Echo, Boss DD-7 (reverse mode), TC Alter Ego, Boss RV-6 (reverb).

 Changes to the layout and added a Boss Tera Echo, one pedel removed (Rat clone). The guitar amp pedal is now on top of the amp. All pedals are now connected with EBS-gold patch cables (had bad contact issues a few times with the standard EBS patch cables). Also brought more visual rest to the board, it's laying around in a corner of my living room so this is an important factor (for me). I hope I'm done with all this tinkering with my board but I seriously doubt it. |
