So I'm having a bit of GAS again, I don't want to get either of these anytime soon but I'm curious to hear which model you guys would choose. They are basically the same, except for the woods of the back and sides, the 16 has mahogany, the 28 rosewood back and sides. I've of course googled for the differences, most people say rosewood is the better of the 2 woods, but there's some that favour the mahogany. Yes, I have the CLD-41SE, but I want to get either of these to use it in D tuning

I would choose rosewood because I think that it looks nicer and you get a certificate

Marit I'd say the 28 is the same as our 41 but with a cutaway and less bling. For meahogany is darker sounding - what about the one that is all mahogany? Forget the name but the one Che sent back only with cutaway and pickup

I'll probably get the CLD-28SCE, to use that for D tuning.

I wish they did the 28 without the cutaway or ideally the all solid 30 without the cutaway - would really like that...

Hmm, I don't know. Do you want one similar to one you already have just to use for D standard or want to try another?

Hmm, I don't know. Do you want one similar to one you already have just to use for D standard or want to try another? That's the difficult part. I really like the CLD-41SE but perhaps the mahogany will have a nice sound too. How have you guys experienced the difference between a mahogany body or rosewood?

So there's this B Stock CLD-28SCE that's been up on Thomann for a while for 189 euros ( www.thomann.de/nl/harley_benton_custom_line_cld_28sce_b_stock.htm ). That's a whopping 40 euros cheaper than regular price, but I'm a bit scared what I'll be getting. I emailed the guitar team, and while they cannot give me any details, they say unless otherwise specified it will only have very slight handling marks but it's in perfect working condition. I'm yet to receive my vacation money etc., if it's still up by then should I give it a go?

No, absolutely NOT marit. And you know you're going to ignore that. Hell, even when I tell myself I shouldn't buy a guitar I ignore my advice so why would you be any different? I knew it wouldnt be long until you would appear here (that does not sound grammarly correct but what the heck it was 30 degrees here today). In all seriousness (Nice word), you dont have good experience with b stock? Or are you just saying no so I'll do yes? What guitar would you advice? Only 2 votes so far, these polls aren't going great....

Due to musical differences I've decided I can't work with myself any more.

I'm a'jokin' with ya marit . When it comes to guitars there ain't nobody goin' to talk us out of it if we gotten it into our heads to get one. What the hell am I writing? I'm part way through watching a documentary about the Memphis Jug Band and I think it's all rubbing off on me. Those guys were astonishingly important in the formulation of modern music. My experience of B stock is pretty good. It's just worth an extra check to see what might be up with it. And most things that are up with electrics are fixable. I'm more wary of acoustics. What are you going to do if there's a loose strut. Just saying. Anyway back to my Memphis Jug Band, "Well I whipped my woman with a single tree. What was she doing? Well the same old thing. It was the same old thing. The same old thing..." They don't write them like that any more. Beyonce would be appalled.
