That's great, dodger ! They're coming out with walnut back & sides versions of this guitar and our CLD-41SE! I know marit and that upgraded Hummingbird that I suspect will be more like a Gibson J45 or Southern Jumbo I can't deal with this - I already want one of each of the models! I love HB guitars! The features (of the acoustics) are the best bang for buck anywhere. Bone nut and saddles, solid tops and Fishman pickups for the price they're selling them - I think only Sigma can compete - how is yours buy the way? Have you bonded as much as you did with the CLD41SE?
dodger: it looks like the new Superior does look a bit like both the SJ and the J-45. Looks more from the SJ and specs (mahogany b&s) from the J-45. Pickguard is still Hummingbird. DefJef get on the case; what Gibson is this supposed to be? Is it some model we do not know of that you will find out for us?

Had to post again on the CLA28VE. In the past couple of weeks it has started to open up a bit; maybe because it's the first guitar I lift because it's so light and small. The sound has mellowed as well but seems a bit fuller. Definitely a guitar for recording as it is not overpowering like a dreadnought.
I love how tasteful it looks too. Definitely a nicer guitar than the Taylor GS Mini for about 1/3 of the price.
Looking around for a 000 size case but they're really expensive and Thomann doesn't have any surprisingly.

Maybe it's because of new strings? Which kind do you use on it? I tried different and the phosphor bronze turn out to be the best. Elixir was the best anyway but last time I tried DR Rare - very good also.

It proofs that you are the owner of very good instrument. I feel the same any time I pick this guitar for playing. Btw. EXP-16 does not last in my hands long. Two month and they are dead, not any longer. I bought Gator classical guitar case for my CLA-28. Fits really perfect. Have a nice Christmas!
