Honestly I know nothing about djent....but educate me - point me to a song where guitar is djenty but lyrics and singing style are not 'cookie monster'/roaring/screaming or otherwise OTT. Uf, to enjoy djent the most, you need to get the best of both worlds But I'd say this comes close, a nice and balanced mix of clean vocals and fry scream, with addition of super tight rhythm guitar work: Not bad....shame about the histrionics during the choruses but i guess he needed to pay his dues I'll await the singer's solo album.

Too poppy to my taste. I'd rather have something with no singing at all, to be honest. That's a bit of a cooincidence/cosmic synchronicity for me. Yesterday on the way home from work I heard a radio ad for Bill Bailey's 'Larks in Transit' show and it got me thinking about the phrase 'Lark tongues in aspic' and I could not for the life of me remember where I had heard it...was it Shakespeare or a novel or album title. .... well now you have answered my question. Thanks!

For some reason I associated that phrase with Richard E Grant and now I have no idea why!

Sharon endorses 6 grand guitars so theres going to be a some bias when he knowingly plays anything cheaper. I'm sure we've all had times where we want to trade up for pricey gear that makes us sound better but there's also times where we are playing well and nail a part or sound on our budget gear that actually sounds pretty sweet. That's inspiring moments too.

On topic....if possible take your guitar to a music store and compare it with other guitars in your price range to give some perspective.

The only thing is i cannot compare it to a harley benton because thomann is far away. I do have a Musicstore in germany close by. so maybe I will try it there they have a Jack and danny range but i herer some mixed opinions about those.

I don't know if the fellow who came up with that brand name was having a laugh? But in cockney rhyming slang "Jack & Danny" = fanny, that is slang for the intimate part of the female anatomy! The word has various connotations and uses. Just an explanation for those unfamiliar with English language and it's nuances. Why anyone would put that name on a guitar I don't know. Seems a bit Harry & Billy to me!

blindwilly3fingers I can't recall if you declared yourself a cockney or not I'm not quite sure of the geographical boundaries of cockneydom. Do you eat jellied eels? I presume that's the test.

I am not cockney and most certainly don't eat jellied eels or that disgusting green stuff (liquor) they put on pie and mash! To be a cockney you are supposed to be born within the sound of Bow bells (A church in cheapside area of London). Luckily for me I was born 12 miles south of London but there are lots of fake cockneys that pretend they are the real thing. Where I live they talk more like cockneys that they do in London! They are mainly paper hats or Berkshire hunts unfortunately 😁

Oh yes paper hats.... like David Cameron presumably I've nothing against cockneys of course. Suffice to say my own accent is nothing like my fellow countrymen of a more 'entrepreneurial' persuasion...

gino24 If you try out some brands like Squier,, Epiphone, SX, Vintage(JHS) will get you in the ballpark of Harley Benton build wise.
