Ah what a great feeling when Mr. Postman hadns you over your package and you open it and you take out the amp and realise the Valve is shattered Its the way they fastened the electrical cable, so the jack was free to keep hitting that poor tube during its transport from China to Denmark! I think the tube in question was the one one NOT protected by the cage and is a Rectifier Tube I assume! Shattered glass all over the place also tiny glass particles all over the amp's front and back! tolex not glued well at the back (I could live with that) shame really, as its a nice looking amp. Couldn't even test drive it a bit www woodforest bank locationsOff to write to Music Store ...

Unlucky or lucky MartinB? Once again they may say, "really sorry, keep it and we'll send you another." On the plus side, at least there's no metal bits stuck to the magnet. What a disaster, Che. You must have been itching to play it. Now comes my delivery.

Crikey. I'm sorry to hear that. I wonder if that happened on the way from China or just from Germany? I would have thought there would have been an inspection at some point upon receipt at the MusicStore warehouse.

I would have thought there would have been an inspection at some point upon receipt at the MusicStore warehouse. saltee if you look at the first photo above you will see that they have plaaced the cable jack to the right side of the cabinet, exactly under the Unprotetcted Rectifier tube! If they have placed that cable jack (that can move up and down) to the left side of the cabinet, then the cable jack would only be able to hit the cage protecting the pre and power tubes! No big deal to do and I would be a happy bunny right now strumming away!

I'm surprised the cable is stored in the back at all for transport purposes. I'd mostly expect the packaging to clearly separate the two. Maybe, because we all have different sockets around the world, Music Store has to open each box and throw in the correct cable for the country of delivery? Can that be possible? I know my Bugera order showed that a UK cable was added to it after I placed the order. Just hope it's not in the amp!

DefJef all tubes and stuff ARE well protected inside the Bugera by a CAGE! This FAME also has a cage protecting pre and power tubes but the Rectifier tube is for some reason totally exposed!
