The looper takes practice (I still haven't really got the hang of the Zoom looper either). I don't know if the B1on has the option (I guess it should as it is the same software), but the B3 has a cancel button that you can hit to abandon what you are playing without affecting the previous loops you already have playin. Unfortunately it doesn't have an "undo" feature (I dont think).
To be honest, I use Ableton for looping, as I can hit the button anytime during the last bar and it will automatically make the change at the end of the bar, the Zoom is more "instant", which makes it harder to get just right.

I dont like this feeling Im having ... It seems like Im trying to make myself like this Zoom pedal, in truth I dont think it has the sound Im looking for. I mean I love my Digitech pedal's sound, its much richer and much more stereo than this pedal. This pedal seems to mash the tones together and they seem ... they seem ... I just dont like them. I mean there is one patch out of 100 that I like the sound of. I did try and fiddle with the adjustments but nah, it just doesnt do it for me ... I think Im returning it tomorrow and will see to buy something else maybe the Digitech BP90 or maybe get the Hotone Thunder Bass when I have more money (save, save, save).

If you don't like it, then send it back before it is too late.
I will say though, it took me around 2 years to find (create) the stuff that I liked on the B2, and about a year of trial and error (plus one hell of a lot of reading) before I got the sounds I like out of the B3.
To be truthful, I don't use that many effects on the Zoom, I mainly use the amp and cab simulations. I don't know what the B1on is like, or the functions that it has, but the amp and cab sims on the B3 took a lot of tweaking before I found "my tones", much like on a real amp.
But, as said, if you don't feel you are bonding with it, send it back before its too late!
