Thanks for the heads up blindwilly3fingers. I'm torn now between the Pegasus and the Pure Sky. I like the reviews of the Calines and do find the nano pedals a little awkward sometimes. I just found a Caline distributor called Bandline who seem to be selling the Pegasus for £32.95 with free delivery which suits me as I avoid Amazon at every opportunity. The Pure Sky seems to be priced best at Aliexpress at £17.61 which is pretty much Mosky price, but I may have to do the slow boat wait if I go for that. Hmm...the Pure Sky is said to stack well...hmm... Birthday coming up...AND Christmas!

The dreaded Gas @defjef ☠️
The pure sky is cheap, I know it's not got the 3 position clip switch a timmy has but its supposedly very good.
I only mentioned the mosky may not be robust enough as I know you'd probably want to gig it. I just don't think it may be up to that, although I've read people saying they gig with it. The nano pedals are probably surface mount circuit boards and I've seen photos today of the inside of the mosky it looks a lot of ciruit in a small space. I would presume the foot switch may be soldered direct to the circuit board like a lot of nano stuff?

Just had an email from Bandline. Public holiday. Can't dispatch till Tuesday...slowboat anyway.
Yeah the nano pedals are ok for home use or for always on pedals but I find them a bit tricky live if I've got to hit one and sing into a mic at the same time without wearing winklepickers.

That was my line of thinking @defjef that home use or always on the mosky would be OK. If your gonna stomp on it several times during a gig I'm uncertain if it would last long. You can't afford to have it go belly up halfway through a gig. 🥵
That's why I took the amazon route didn't fancy the slow boat. 🙄

Not totally certain how these pedals will respond to stamping on mid gig. They seem to work well as a boost but the trouble with my boost is exactly that - it's a boost, so the volume of the amp goes up! What I need is the EFFECT of a boost WITHOUT the volume going up, thereby increasing the overdrive. After all that was Bill's whole purpose in developing the KLON in the first place - cranked at lower volumes. We'll see.

Hmmm your conversation has sparked renewed interest in Klon clones within me... Love my Silver Horse, but sometimes I feel the need to "upgrade" to something more expensive To make things even more complicated: I also bought me a Mosky B-Box (clone of the Xotic BB preamp). I suspect that you guys would like that one as well. Sooooooooooo perfectly transparent, no coloration at all, you gotta play it to believe it.

I gather the Xotic BB can get quite hairy. How's the Mosky B-Box compare on that score @coldwar1977. I tend to gravitate more towards overdrive and fuzz rather than distortion pedals although there is obviously a lot of overlap there.

Well I'm firmly into the klon sound @coldwar1977 so much so my booster pedal is somewhat redundant. While I can appreciate other pedals the klon sound does it for me. 🙄
While we all chase tone to a certain degree I've found what I like. I maybe missing out? I don't know but the klon type clones either on their own or fed into another drive do it for me.
I may be easily pleased? But the klon type clones achieve that edge of break up I'm looking for. Might not be everyone's cup of tea but it'll do for me.
As @defjef says I also like a bit of fuzz, I'm not a distortion fan. Each to their own. 😜
I'm not knocking any OD or distortion pedal just give me P90's and a klon clone. 👻

Great thread folks and like Cold War I'm also looking to get a klon type at some point. If money was no object I'd probably go for one of those Archer pedals but the little Moskey seems like a no brainer as it gets mostly positive reviews but Im not a big fan of the mini pedals either and prefer the more "conventional" sizes so I'll hold off until I get a comparison from blindwilly3fingers Pegasus .

He's likely to get his before I do so I'll be on tenterhooks too Djangle . I'm wondering if MY boost pedal becomes redundant or if I'll continue with it and only use the Peg for breakup.

Will report findings ASAP Djangle. 🤔 Hopefully they will be good. @defjef it's Chinese state holiday at moment I believe. Although you could get yours first if we go lockdown again. 😳

Well I just learned something that I already knew and keep forgetting: it's ALL about the mix.
I can never get a tone I like out of my Boss ME70 multifx, especially when it gets into the distortions, but I was just playing some Snarky Puppy live videos through the hi-fi and was enjoying it so much that I quickly grabbed my guitar and switched on the Bugera V22 and hit some random pedal settings on the Boss just so I could play along. I could always find SOMETHING that worked with those tunes with my Pacifica's five pickup selection options and a volume and treble knob - oh and a push-push bridge 'bucker split.
I only looked at my pedal and amp settings once I'd been joining in for an hour - no bass on the amp, lots of reverb and set clean and boosted; fuzz on the pedals plus two totally undialled in delays. These were not choices just what came up. It only sounded awful in the room once the Snarky Puppy concert stopped. Before then it was sitting in beautifully and was quite stimulating and musically encouraging.
Like the Squier tagline used to go "Stop dreaming. Start playing"!
