Okay guys, what follows is an initial review. I'll follow up with a more detailed write up.
After 25 days, she's here! It got caught up a bit because of the holidays I'm sure. It took 18 days from shipping to my door. The tracking was spotty so in the future I'll try not to put too much stock in it. All I can say is the wait was long but it was worth it.
I came home on my lunch break with the slim hope that my first HB would be there. As I got to my house the mail man was pulling up. Help and behold he had he elusive axe in the back of the truck. I had to sign for it so good thing I was there. I rushed inside to tear it open.
She was packed very nicely and the outer box didn't show much wear. The inside box was pristine. It was accompanied by about 100 air packs.
First look:
She's stunning. Amazing burst and highly figured. A solid tobacco burst. The back has some nice figuring to the mahogany and really has character.
Action was fine. About a medium height and very comfortable. Strings were a little cold but after some GHS fast feet they were ready to rock.
Plugged her in and tried the middle position. Just a creamy smooth hum bucker tone. The bridge has some serious bite and the neck position is buttery. No sharp feet ends at all, the tuners are great so far.
So far she's 10/10. I'm in love. I only had an hour before I had to go back to work so I'll report back more later. The best part was she was in tune all the way from Germany lol. [

yet another happy costumer. Congrats man. I'm glad you went with the wrap around bridge, the floating one doesn't inspire me any confidence to be honest [then again I grew to loath trems].

Looks great! I'm eyeing one up for myself.
My question: what are the inlays like? Do they look well done/cut out etc.? My fear is that they'll not be done very well and look/feel bad.

They look great. This guitar looks like it costs a pretty penny, not the ~$200 shipped I paid. It doesn't look cheap in the slightest.

I honestly would've paid 3 or 4 times the price for this guitar. It sounds amazing.

Nice !
And the Tree seems to have been made well. I preferred to get the Stars version because I was afraid of all the flaws I saw on the pictures.... And a nice tosewood fingerboard whereas I thought this version had ebonol.
Don't forget to report about the sound

Got a steak knife in my thumb. 7 stitches but I missed all the important stuff lol. A little tough to do some bends until I get them out but I can still play

The aesthetic beauty of these HB guitars never ceases to amaze me. On the outside they look like some of the really nice late 70's japanese made Arias and Grecos I've had. You are hard core too. I know even with that stitched up thumb you are gonna be playing the heck out of it. Congrats

That looks so sweet. I have an SC-Custom on the way, and either this, or the one with the star inlays, will be my next buy. Congrats!
